Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011
These codes are given legal standing in Queensland’s workplace health and safety framework.
The practices, procedures and requirements set out in the above codes of practice must be complied with in the same manner as a regulation.

Chapter 4 s143 of the Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 2011 requires that a business that performs the prescribed activity of demolition work must hold a licence to carry out that activity.
The Regulation provides that demolition work is a prescribed activity:
(a) The dismantling of formwork, falsework, or other structures designed or used to provide support, access or containment during construction work; or
(b) The removal of power, light or telecommunication poles.
